It is also utilized in thermal switches, optical switches, information storage component materials, DNA structural probes, DNA molecular optical switches and other fields.
Rhodamine is primarily used in biological staining, including nucleus staining (binding to DNA) and organelle labeling under fluorescence microscopes. It can also be used in the preparation of fluorescent nanoparticles and as a tracer in water quality testing. Industrially, it is widely applied in the dyeing of textiles (silk, wool), paper, leather, glass, and incense products.
